Instant access for unverified users

In order to improve adoption, we are introducing a way to give users unverified access. This new type of user has limited access to the portal until verification is completed by an admin. Depending on a set of conditions, users can get this unverified access to SMARTLINK/ICONS immediately after they complete registration. 

In a nutshell, the system allows this if:

• The entered serial number during registration is matching the selected service provider;
• And the serial number is linked to a site with only one machine.

If these conditions are met, instant access is also possible for distributor sites.

Improved recommendation details (next step)

The new recommendation page already contained the section with the next steps but it was showing a placeholder (contact your service provider). We have completed the page with the actual details about the next steps. This additional information is aimed at improving the quality of recommendation leads as they are better informed when clicking on the take action button.

Summary report for licensed users

A frequently raised concern is that we should do more to stay in touch with our customers before we try to sell or renew our service. The peace of mind our connectivity solution has to offer is easily forgotten if nothing happens. If all goes well and no critical machine-events are triggered, we only communicate the value of SMARTLINK/ICONS one time during the license period: when the license (contract) needs to be extended. This can be incredibly inefficient as it often requires re-educating the customer about the problems our product solves. 

To improve this process, SMARTLINK/ICONS will generate a periodic summary report for customers with a license and/or Total Responsibility contract. To stay top of mind, users will automatically receive a report summarizing the uptime and energy performance of their installation. The Uptime and Energy reports are generated quarterly, the TR report will be sent every six months.

This feature will be rolled out in phases, starting with the periodic uptime reports.

Invitation mail improvements

Previously, the invitation to SMARTLINK/ICONS was not communicating the purpose of the mail and the value of our solution. We have improved this by optimizing the subject line and adding a clear invitation text to the body.

Tag-filter added to machine overview

In the previous release (2.6), we introduced the functionality to create tags for machines. This can help you organize your installed base for marketing or operational purposes. By filtering the machine overview, you can actually use the tags to search or group machines.

Track last login data of users in the app

Similar to the web app, we want to track user adoption of the new mobile app. By recording the last login date of users, we can calculate the number of logins in a reporting period. We could, for example, use this information to find out how many times our customers typically use the app. 

Track user registration source

As we are working more aggressively on increasing user adoption, we are now tracking the registration source of new users. From now on, we record whether users signed up via the app, website, self-registration, invitation, or by bulk-invitation.

Start session in top scope

Previously, whenever you start a new session in SMARTLINK/ICONS, it remembered the last scope you had selected. Closing a session while monitoring site XYZ means the portal will open in your next session in site XYZ. Since you are most likely to jump to your top scope every new session, SMARTLINK/ICONS will now open the portal in your top scope already.
