Registration simplified: step 4 removed
Invited users previously had to finish their registration by clicking on the following button in their email:
Without this step, we were not able to validate your email and give access. Many users tried signing directly in the browser without clicking on the button. This resulted in an error message and had to be rectified by going back to the email and finishing the registration properly. Especially when the user registered a while ago, it was difficult to expect them to search for this lost email in their inbox.
From now on, all of this is not needed anymore. Once users have successfully finished step three (confirming and submitting your information), access to the portal is granted. You can find the updated instruction article here.
Notification group improvements
When adding machines to a notification group, it will now be indicated to external users when a machine does not have a license.
Delete users
As requested, it is now possible to delete users in addition to making them inactive. The outcome is still the same, except for the fact that a deleted user cannot be retrieved without registering again.
Recommendations improvements
Recommendations in Single Machine overview
A tab with active recommendations is now shown in the Single Machine overview.
Multiple UX improvements
A tooltip with more details was added to the visible to all column in the recommendation overview. A new column was also added to indicate whether recommendations are visible to distributors: visible to distributors. Note that this column is only visible to internal users, not to distributors.
Quote request improved
Previously, customers were required to fill out a blank field whenever they requested a quote. However, customers do not always bother to submit the information that helps us understand their needs. In order to guide this process, customers are now required to select an option from a dropdown menu that tells the Quote Manager what the request is about.
Additional filters Disconnected Machine overview
By adding filters, we improved the search functionality of the Disconnected Machine overview. You can now drill down to machines by status code and contract type.
Search by sequencer serial number
In previous versions, sequencers were not shown in the Machine Overview. It is now possible to search for sequencers with the serial number.
'Custom event' removed from Notification settings
When setting up notification groups, the option custom event was visible to users. However, this feature has not yet been implemented and was therefore disabled. In order to avoid any confusion, the feature has now been removed for the time being.
Commissioning Flow enhanced
The commissioning flow used machines' serial numbers to link machines to COPS data. This method is limited and does not always result in the desired outcome for example, when a machine's serial number was duplicated. The commissioning flow is therefore improved by adding the ERPnumber as a variable. Meaning, in addition to retrieving COPS data by the serial number we can also retrieve this data by ERPnumber.
Activate distributor license automatically
For every paid license activated for a customer, a distributor license should also be activated. Instead of doing this manually, there is now a process in place that does this automatically.
Improvement Fleet Management
As mentioned before, the cost of Engineering Scans are allocated to the respective customer centers. In order to make sure internal users are aware of this, we show a warning message before confirming the Engineering Scan command.
