At present, SMARTLINK supports hybrid machines only partially. While these machines can be found in SMARTLINK and can upload data related to uptime and energy, they are not recognized as a single unit. Instead, they are split into three parts: one serial number from SAP and two serial numbers from the machine’s controllers. Each part plays a different role. The SAP serial number provides organizational, service and contract details, while the controller serial numbers upload live operational data.
Current Capabilities and Limitations
SAP Data Sync: SMARTLINK shows data from SAP connected to the serial number of the hybrid machine. (service history, contract information)
Live Data Upload: SMARTLINK receives live data from 2 controllers of the machine.
How to register a hybrid machine in SMARTLINK.
To register a hybrid machine in SMARTLINK, you need to register three serial numbers/units:
SAP Serial Number: The serial number of the unit from SAP.
Controller Serial Numbers: The serial numbers of the controllers.
How to Activate Licenses for Hybrid Machines
Activating licenses for hybrid machines requires a manual process:
Since the serial number of a hybrid machine connected to SAP is not linked to a controller, it won't upload any data. Therefore, the other two units that have been added to SMARTLINK and can upload data need to be assigned licenses manually.
