NOTE: There are some restrictions/rules for changing parents. Read this first before proceeding.
Whether you can change a parent or not, depends on the entity (organization type of the child-organization). The available options are listed in the drop-down list. The user scope should also be taken into account. A user cannot select a parent which is not visible in his scope. Finally, users without permission to manage organizations are also not allowed to change parents.

Step 1
Go to ORGANIZATION MAINTENANCE.
Step 2
Use the search bar to find the company of which you wish to change the parent.
Step 3
Select the customer. When you click on it, the company's details will open. You will see a dropdown menu that allows you to change the parent. Typically, it can take a few seconds before the parent dropdown-menu is available. One it is no longer greyed-out, you can select a new parent.
