We aim for a smooth transition for all connectivity users, so we are not shutting down the old platform without a proper announcement. Customer centers first have to push the users to the new platform. During the first phase, we will start showing a pop-up message on the old platform recommending the newest version. As of March 1, we will start redirecting users who go to the old URL to the new website. For the customer-end, the old platform will not be accessible anymore. Finally, we will completely disable the old platform. This is scheduled for April. Of course, you can expect full support from the Airpower marketing team throughout this campaign.
For successful user migration, we recommend the following course of action:
Step 1
Send an email to users for a public preview.
Step 2
Follow up on the user registration. Tip: go to USER MAINTENANCE and set the search filter to the different user statuses. Use the overview to set up a mailing list (for example, a follow-up mail to all users who have been invited, but have not registered yet). For now, you have to copy-paste the email addresses, because the export button is not enabled yet.
Step 3
Send a bulk invitation to the missing users. Contact Airpower for details.
Step 4
Communicate and follow-up on your customers that their notification groups and report subscriptions have to be created in the new SMARTLINK/ICONS. This is very important!
